Job Summary

The Graphic Designer is responsible for working on consumer packaged goods (CPG) projects, including but not limited to creating product labels, packaging, digital assets, mockups, dielines, marketing material, editorial ads, and other projects. S/He has a strong design aesthetic with the ability to work from concept through production in a fast-moving environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating label designs, digital assets, and other marketing material using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
  • Organizes, manages, and maintains library of digital assets and other projects.
  • Creates 2D and 3D mockup samples of product and/or displays for retailers.
  • Performs product photography with DSLR camera ensuring images meet in-house guidelines and standards.
  • Designs and creates marketing material including sell sheets, catalogs, editorial ads, trade show graphics, etc.
  • Reads and interprets standards and style guides to maintain brand consistency across product lines.
  • Establishes proofing process to minimize artwork revisions prior to management reviews.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of creative trends, software programs, and photography.
  • Collaborates with Marketing team daily on project needs and deliverables.
  • Understands tasks outlined in Asana and translate deliverables to projects.
  • Provides insight and recommendations on design throughout creative process.
  • Prioritizes tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Reliable and punctual in reporting for work as scheduled.
  • Maintains professionalism at all times.
  • Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Proficient in Mac OS and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
  • Knowledgeable of product and lifestyle photography including an understanding of lighting, composition, and retouching
  • Strong design skills with knowledge of color, typography, composition, and print production
  • Familiarity with Fair Packaging and Labeling Act
  • Ability to create, read, and interpret packaging dielines
  • Understanding of current trends in design, topography, and color
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • At least two years of CPG-related experience
  • Product and/or lifestyle photography experience with DSLR camera
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Continuous sitting, bending, pushing/pulling
